  • Inspiration: Gender Neutrality. I adopted a clean, striking approach, creating a design that works for both masculine and feminine audiences. The simple, sophisticated style keeps the product as the focal point, while a strong, cohesive pattern unifies the range.

  • Inspiration: Scaffolding. Walking the streets of New York was a pleasure. Beyond the city’s impressive architecture, everyday structures - like scaffolding - offered intriguing shapes and designs. This playful, vibrant approach was inspired by the geometric patterns created by something as simple as scaffolding.

  • Inspiration: Album Covers. This design was inspired by the bold, playful artwork found on album covers. Every era featured vibrant, colourful patterns, which I interpreted by combining dynamic shapes with bright, striking colours.

Design Experience

My design career has taken me across some pretty different environments: a start-up in NYC, corporate in NZ and agency life in Melbourne. I've learned something valuable in each one.

At the start-up I was the sole designer, which meant handling all the marketing materials, building workflows from scratch and figuring things out as the business grew. It's the kind of role that sharpens you quickly.

As well as being a trained and experienced designer, I am also well versed in finished art, which has given me a deep appreciation for the technical, detail-driven side of the craft. That expertise means I understand what it takes to take a concept all the way through to a print-ready piece of work.

That range of environments and experience means I can move comfortably between the big picture and the fine detail, bringing a practical, grounded approach wherever I work.
